PR (Permanent Resident) Card
Permanent Resident Card is the most important identity document which is issued to landed immigrants as an identification of their permanent residency status in Canada.
If you have landed in Canada as a Permanent resident and have not been able to apply for your Permanent Resident card, for the first time, we would assist you to resolve this for you.
PR Card is usually issued for 5 years. If its expiring in less than 9 months, you can consider applying for a new one.
You can't apply for PR Card from outside Canada. But if it expires or stolen during your stay abroad, you will have to apply for Permanent Resident travel document before you want to come to Canada. After you come to Canada, then you can apply for your PR card, from within Canada only.
To be issued a PR Card, you must have your valid Permanent residency status.
